The Beowulf Project is a piece of performance art mediated by Facebook: At Rowany Festival in 2017 we will perform Beowulf, the greatest epic of the English language, in translation, spread over three nights and multiple campsites. It’s coordinated by the Beowulf 2017 Facebook group. The translation we’re using is Seamus Heaney’s, divided into approximate chapters by Sigbrandr Stillingr. The introductions for each chapter after the first are written by Gwen verch David.
