In August I wrote The Story So Far, a filk of Billy Joel’s We Didn’t Start The Fire, complete with hyperlinks in the style of the excellent Wikipedia article. In early January, I sent Don Caron of the Parody Project a link to the song, and he got back to me with a proposal to record it. With my approval, he adjusted some of the lyrics to either improve the flow or increase the comprehensibility, and gave me the hyperlinked results. Do these guys ever sleep??? This is of course the most amazing thing that’s ever happened to me.
