This is the original version of my song The Story So Far, which was slightly edited and performed as We Didn’t Pick The Liar by the Parody Project. Ethnomusicologists can compare and contrast the versions, but I’m so amazed and thrilled at their performance that I have nothing more to say.
I’ve been planning to start this ever since the Comedy US President was elected, waaaay back in the final years before The War. The problem was always the chorus: it had to be at least as punchy as “we didn’t start the fire”. My Beloved came to my rescue with the final word of the the first line of the chorus, and everything else was just a matter of research and insanity. So much insanity! So many links!
