The Baronesses’ Feast Hall

An anthem for my Barony, Ynys Fawr, to the tune of Octopus’s Garden by the Beatles.

July 2018

I like to be across the sea
In the Baronesses’ feast hall, Ynys Fawr
It’s such a treat, so much to eat
In the Baronesses’ feast hall, Ynys Fawr

I’d ask the peers to raise a cheer
For Baronesses rule only here
I like to be across the sea
In the Baronesses’ feast hall, Ynys Fawr

We will be warm, don’t mind the storm,
In our little hall beneath a cloudy sky.
Soon, if you please, the rain will ease,
In the Baronesses’ feast hall, warm and dry

We will sing and dance about
While fencers prance and heralds shout
I like to be across the sea
In the Baronesses’ feast hall, Ynys Fawr

[Instrumental]

We will strive to make the drive
From Lightwood to distant Leathann Tir (to distant Leathann Tir)
Nor would we shirk a visit to Eastkirk
Knowing they’re our people, far and near (people far and near)

We would be so happy, you and me,
Our Baronesses tell us what to do
I like to be across the sea
In the Baronesses’ feast hall, with you
In the Baronesses’ feast hall, with you
In the Baronesses’ feast hall, with you
